Why oh why did I take up a craft that needs young fingers? Lately I’ve been learning how to do wire wrapped jewelry. You’ll see examples of this on the pendants in the shop.
Since I sometimes like pictures instead of words, here are the various steps involved. First you practice with some cheap craft wire (the wrapping done in white wire). Then you try the same wrap with metal wire which in this case is 20 gauge copper on the opposite end of the leather cord. This was my practice work done during a World Series game.
The pendant in the bottom right corner shows the final piece with the copper toggle clasp attached by jump rings to the wrapped cord.
